GreenComm: Redefining Environmental Communication Across Europe
As the GreenComm project reaches its final milestone, we look back at a journey marked by resilience, innovation, and digital transformation. Launched with the mission to bridge the gap between media literacy and environmental advocacy, GreenComm has successfully evolved into a sustainable ecosystem empowering youth workers and educators across the continent.
A Living Digital Legacy
The heart of our project lies in the establishment of a dynamic, living Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) ecosystem. Unlike projects that produce static materials, our digital infrastructure is designed for long-term impact.
To eliminate barriers to vocational education, the platform and all seven training modules are available in four languages: English, Dutch, Turkish,Portugues and Estonian. This linguistic diversity significantly increases the retention of knowledge and the practical application of tools by local youth workers.
Impact by the Numbers
Our platform analytics and training reports confirm the massive reach of the project:
2,500+ Unique Visitors: The official project portal has seen strong organic interest across the European educational landscape.
145 Active Learners: Registered users are currently pursuing professional development within the MOOC ecosystem.
53 Multipliers Trained: Professionals from core target groups were directly trained through physical and hybrid activities.
45 Professional Certificates: To date, our automated engine has issued 45 EQF Level 5 Certificates of Professional Competence.
Global Integration and Secondary Reach
To maximize visibility, the GreenComm methodology has been integrated into major European networks:
SALTO-YOUTH Toolbox: Our training materials are now available to an active network of over 100,000 registered European youth workers.
EPALE: We have shared our green media literacy standards with the largest adult learning and VET community in Europe.
Erasmus+ Results Platform: All intellectual outputs are officially recorded for future reference by other organizations and National Agencies.
Sustaining the Future
The sustainability of GreenComm is a core commitment. Under our Zero Cost Maintenance Model, Jump to Green Stichting has officially committed to hosting and managing the MOOC platform servers for at least three years following the project end date.
With a projected organic growth of at least 300 additional users over the next twelve months, the GreenComm framework will continue to serve as a reliable resource for the next generation of climate advocates.
