The GreenComm Toolkit is a practical resource developed to support youth workers in strengthening their communication and media literacy skills—specifically in the context of environmental and climate-related youth work.
Designed as a complementary source to the GreenComm VET Training Programme/Modules, the Toolkit provides ready-to-use tools, templates, and inspiration for applying communication strategies in real-world youth work settings. It translates the learning outcomes of the training modules into actionable methods, ensuring that youth workers can confidently engage young people using modern media formats and platforms.
The content is structured around the same seven core themes used in the training modules:
Understanding and communicating with young citizens
Understanding media and journalism
Principles for effective messaging and content
Storytelling
Delivering content via social media
Making content viral
Engaging with popular culture and digital visibility
Whether you’re preparing a local awareness campaign, creating educational content for your organisation’s social media, or designing a workshop on climate action, the Toolkit gives you the practical resources to do so.
All materials are freely available in English, Dutch, Turkish, and Portuguese, and can be explored below.
We invite you to use, adapt, and share these tools to amplify your work and foster stronger climate engagement through effective communication.
