PROJECT RESULTS

Within the framework of the GREEN-COMM project, 3 main outputs as project results will be created.

 

These are;

 
  1. Green Communication (VET) Training Programme and Modules
  2. Green Communication Toolkit
  3. Green Communication Platform

The production of these results will help GREEN-COMM to reach its objective to improve the communication and media literacy skills of youth workers working in the field of environment and climate change. Additionally to increase their professional qualification of youth workers and, ensure the recognition of their skills and contribute to their personal and professional growth.


1. GREEN COMMUNICATION VET PROGRAMME AND MODULES


The GREEN-COMM (VET) Training Programme will be a 35-hour training programme with different applied VET modules under 7 main topics designed and put together to improve communication and media literacy skills of youth workers.


Before preparing the training modules the project partners will assess and identify the actual needs of youth workers in using new media channels and communicating with young people about climate change. GreenComm VET programme is a non-formal and applied training programme model for youth workers active in the fields of environment and climate change.


The Programme and Modules will be designed and focus on the following 7 main topics:

 

  1. Understanding and communicating with young citizens
  2. Understanding media and journalism
  3. Principles for effective message/content
  4. Storytelling
  5. Delivering the content via social media
  6. Making content viral
  7. Dealing with popular culture and popularity 

The Programme will then be integrated on the GREEN-COMM online platform in order to reach beyond the immediate partnership and increase its domain by becoming easily accessible and reachable by youth workers from all over.
 

The Training Programme and Module content will be made available in English and each partner’s languages (Dutch, Turkish, Portuguese and Estonian).

 

2. GREEN COMMUNICATION TOOLKIT 


Similar to the Training Programme & Module contents, the Toolkit will focus on the 7 main topics as in the Training Programme & Modules. 


The Toolkit will present youth workers with necessary channels, methods, tools and more in order to use and benefit from. The content of the Toolkit will help youth workers learn and discover new communication channels, improve their capacities and skills in this regard. Youth workers will learn new ways of communication, discover endless possibilities and methods for amplifying their impact through communication and media by improving their skills in regard to media literacy and communication.

The Toolkit is designed – as the VET Training Programme – based on the actual needs and requirements of youth workers in the environmental field thanks to the efforts of the consortium by implementing an Online Survey for needs assessment and analysis. 

The Toolkit will be made available in English and all partner languages (Dutch, Turkish, Portuguese and Estonian.

3. GREEN COMMUNICATION PLATFORM

The Green Communication Platform (green-comm.com) serves as a place for communication and dissemination of the project itself, its results and activities, and providing a platform for learning for Youth Workers by enabling easy and open access to Green Communication VET Programme, Modules and Toolkit. 
 
The Platform will provide all of the produced Training Programme and Toolkit and its contents as free-access and open-source to its visitors. Also, a learning space will be integrated for users to easily follow lessons (content of the Training Programme) and receive an automatically generated certificate upon fully completing all of the learning modules and completing the Quiz. 
 
The Online Platform and the website part will all be available in English and all partner languages (Dutch, Turkish, Portuguese and Estonian).
